In the Polygoonbos it is nice to walk along the beautiful avenues. Every now and then you walk through a piece of heathland. You can hear and occasionally see quite a few birds. The Pic noir can be heard from far away and occasionally seen. Bondrée apivore circles in the sky.

Nederlands: Het Polygoonbos werd tijdens de Eerste Wereldoorlog volledig vernield. Maar het werd opnieuw aangeplant. Het bos is ongeveer 91 ha groot. Het is er leuk wandelen in de lange mooie dreven. Af en loop je door een stukje heide. Heel wat vogels kan je horen en af en toe ook zien. De Pic noir kan je al van ver horen en af en toe ook zien. Bondrée apivore cirkelt in de lucht.

The Polygoonbos is located south of the town of Zonnebeke. You can walk into the forest via many entrances. The car park is located at 'De Dreve'. Press P on the map for directions to the car park. The circular walk shown on the map is approximately 3 km.

Nederlands: Het Polygoonbos ligt ten zuiden van Zonnebeke. Je kan via heel wat ingangen het bos in wandelen. De parking bevindt zich bij 'De Dreve'. Druk op P in de kaart voor een routebeschrijving naar de parkeerplaats. De rondwandeling die is weergegeven op de kaart is ongeveer 3 km.
