The Oudsberg has dune vegetation, blooming purple heather and landscape in full evolution. It is one of the highest hills in the Kempen with natural forests. Birds that you can encounter during a walk through the area are Bondrée apivore, Chouette hulotte, Engoulevent d'Europe, Alouette lulu, Pic épeichette, Bruant jaune and Tarier pâtre.

Nederlands: De Oudsberg is een zandige landduin die bijna 90 meter boven de zeespiegel uitsteekt, waarop unieke duinvegetaties voorkomen. Typische duinvegetatie, bloeiende paarse heide, landschap in volle evolutie, éen van de hoogste heuvels van de Kempen, natuurlijke bossen. Vogels die je tijdens een wandeling door het gebied kunt tegenkomen zijn Bondrée apivore, Chouette hulotte, Engoulevent d'Europe, Alouette lulu, Pic épeichette, Bruant jaune en Tarier pâtre.

Attention: the Oudsberg cannot be reached by car. You will find the nearest car park at Camping Zavelbos. Click on the P in the map for directions. You take a walk of about 6 km there and back via the signposted paths. So be sure to allow a few hours for a visit!

Nederlands: Opgelet: de Oudsberg is niet met de auto te bereiken. De meest nabije parking vind je aan Camping Zavelbos. Klik op de P in de kaart voor een routebeschrijving. Via de bewegwijzerde paden maak je een wandeling van ongeveer 6 km heen en terug. Trek voor een bezoek dus zeker enkele uren uit!
