The Blarewater is a small forest and scrubland area where you can find species such as Roitelet huppé, Roitelet triple-bandeau and all the species of tits. On the water you can find Fuligule morillon, Canard chipeau, Foulque macroule, Canard colvert and Canard souchet in small numbers in winter. The dead wood provides Pic épeiche that you can see up close. Fauvette à tête noire is present in the rough undervegetation.

Op het water tref je in de winter Fuligule morillon, Canard chipeau, Foulque macroule, Canard colvert en Canard souchet aan in kleine aantallen die er sporadisch zijn. Het dode hout zorgt dan weer voor Pic épeichedie je van dichtbij kan zien. Fauvette à tête noire is in de ruige ondervegetatie aanwezig.

The Blarewater is located on the river Bovenschelde near the village of Hermelgem. You can reach the area via the public road under the Zingem bridge. The short circular walk shown on the map is only 0.5 km.
