Description
The Schlatzingeraue Natur Park is located in the center of the Maltatal and consists of a small resting area surrounded with wet grasslands and forests next to the river. A small track leads you around the grassland and next to the river, where species such as Bergeronnette des ruisseaux and Cincle plongeur can be seen. Small patches of bushes and scattered trees are great for songbirds, like Fauvette à tête noire and Grimpereau des bois and woodpeckers, like Pic épeiche.
The grassland has several patches with bushes in which species, such as Fauvette babillarde, can be found. With a bit of luck, a Pie-grièche écorcheur might show up here too! The forests, mainly pine, are great for species such as Mésange huppée, Mésange noire and Roitelet triple-bandeau. Also, fairly large numbers of Cassenoix moucheté can be found here too!
