El Pas de la Casa is worth a detour because it is located high in the mountains and therefore a good place to observe the Chocard à bec jaune, which is only found in the Pyreenees and Alps. In addition, Estany de les Abelletes has a beautiful mountain lake that can be viewed on the pleasant walk up from the town.
You can also spot other birds such as Accenteur alpin, Circaète Jean-le-Blanc, Vautour fauve, Hirondelle de rochers, Linotte mélodieuse, Pigeon biset, Bergeronnette des ruisseaux, Moineau domestique and Moineau soulcie.

El Pas de la Casa is a border town on the main road from France into Andorra. You can leave your car in any of the many car parks and then explore the area by foot. For the really adventurous you can also use a mountain bike. The circular walking route shown on the map is about 4 km.
