Description

Breckland is a specialised local habitat that's particularly favourable to its star attraction, Paksujalka. The adjacent woodland has a good selection of birds and nearby pastureland attracts corvids.

Details

Access

The reserve is open from mid-March through July, plus August, on request. Access to the reseve is on foot. There is an admission charge, but children and members of Norfolk Wildlife Trust are exempt.

It lies on the Hockwold to Weeting road and it's signposted. There is a visitor centre and carpark. Although bus number 40 between Thetford, Hockwold and Brandon passes the reseve gate, it's unclear whether the service would actually stop there. The reserve's postcode is IP27 0QF.
