58 hectare SSSI with lowlying meadows which flood in winter when river Severn overflows. Winter wildfowl and owls in adjoining farmland.

Located north of the A48 Chepstow to Gloucester road which is a regular bus route. Park near Chaxhill primary school and follow footpath nearby to view. Further access from Lower Ley. Park at T-junction shown and walk west for 3/4 mile.
