Local nature reserve of 26 hectares with two lakes, possibly created by monks from the abbey.
Wildfowl, grebes, waders, flycatchers and warblers breed or overwinter at Talley Lakes. lapasotka, härkälintu, pensassirkkalintu and amerikantukkasotka all seen recently. There is a hide between the two lakes. The nearby river Cothi has koskikara and virtavästäräkki.
7 miles north of Llandeilo on B4302 Llanybyther/Lampeter road. Turn left in Talley village, park near Abbey. No public transport nearby.
