Description

Swinemoor is a natural, seasonal wetland close to the river Hull. It is an area of pastures and wet meadows with shallow pools of water and areas of Hawthorn scrub and overgrown hedgerows. The river Hull in the area is fringed by reeds and agricultural land on its left margin. Among the birds you can see at Swinemoor are lyhytnokkahanhi, tavi, Lapasorsa, haapana, töyhtöhyyppä, punajalkaviklo, muuttohaukka and varpushaukka.

Access

Swinemoor is adjacent to the River Hull just northeast of Beverley. Park at Tickton Bridge and walk south along western bank or park on eastern bank and watch from levee. Press P on the map for directions.
