Description
Southampton Common has 365 acres of diverse habitat with rough grassland, ancient woodland, and ponds that supports a range of bird species. A large portion of the area is designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest. A flat walk with multiple different routes to take. The area is home to lehtopöllö, vihertikka, pikku-uikku and many more.

Access
Southampton Common is located in the north of Southampton. Access can be gained via Hill Lane, and there is on road parking. Press P on the map for directions. Alternative access via Cemetery Lane where there is an abundance of car parking spaces and these are free to use. The area can also be accessed by walking from the city centre and with bus. The closest bus stop is Northlands Road (1).
Southampton Common is best explored on foot, but also possible by bike. The park is spread over quite a large area so would allow at least one hour to explore fully. The circular walking route shown on the map is about 3,5 km.
