RSPB owned and run wetland marsh where many bird species can be seen.
Burton Mere Wetlands is a mosaic of freshwater wetland habitats, mixed farmland and woodland. The area is hosting avosetti, egrets, harriers, noisy punajalkaviklo, swallows and swifts. Excellent birding place with hides, open water, a woodland walk plus reedbeds and scrub land. Many species to see, see the birdlist on the bottom of this page.
Car park available free of charge, small charge for entrance (free for RSPB members). Binocular hire available. Visitor reception is open 9:30am - 5pm, (4:30pm, November-January). Entrance fee £ 7 (2024).
