The lagoon is good in winter for common wildfowl, has a small breeding colony of silkkikerttunen, kuningaskalastaja and Luhtakana, and in summer holds most common visitors like rytikerttunen and ruokokerttunen. Rarities have included heinätavi, ruskosuohaukka and kaulushaikara.
