Bicton Common is between the Exe Estuary and the town of Sidmouth in South East Devon.
Bicton Common is part of the East Devon Pebblebed Heath, the public have full and free access to all the Pebblebed Heath by foot, under the Countryside and Rights Of Way Act (CROW). Some birds you can see depending on season are ruskokerttu, kehrääjä, mustapäätasku, hippiäinen, ampuhaukka, lehtokurppa, pikkukäpylintu and possibly suopöllö.
Leave Exeter (M5 Motorway Junction 30) towards Clyst St Mary on A376, at next roundabout take third exit (still A376) to Clyst St George. At next roundabout take first exit onto B3179 to Woodbury village, continue on B3179 until next crossroads (Four Firs) and continue straight ahead (towards Yettington), the Four Firs car park (50 spaces) is just on the Right. There are a further two car parks along this road (both on the Left) called Model Airfield (20 spaces) and Uphams Wood (25 spaces).
