A beautiful hilltop of Beech Trees (and Bluebells in Spring) and extensive paths through further woodland areas with a mix of deciduous and evergreen trees.
Badbury Woods are a lovely quiet place for a walk and if you can make the early morning start the dawn chorus amongst the trees is stunning. There are all sorts of birds to be found from isohaarahaukka over the surrounding fields, to kulorastas, puukiipijä, käpytikka, pyrstötiainen, mustapääkerttu, hippiäinen and many more.
Badbury Clump is located just west of the town of Faringdon. The area is owned by The National Trust - the car park is free for members or charged for non-members (currently £4 all day or £2 for up to two hours). Click on the P in the map for directions.
