This island is very well placed for migrant birds and is definitely worth to be checked if you pass by!
This is a great place for migrant waterbirds and other lake birds! A lot of rare birds visit this island each year and there is always something interesting to see! Most rarities turn up in April, May, September or October.
Wintering waterfowl including kaakkuri, härkälintu, other Grebes, several species of Duck, including alli. Migrating waders in spring and autumn, including meriharakka, pitkäjalka, avosetti, mustaviklo, mustajalkatylli, tundrakurmitsa, karikukko, punakuiri and many more. Also pikkulokki, luhtahuitti, mustatiira, valkosiipitiira and valkoposkitiira and raptors and passerines pass over this spot.
There is a parking not far from it and you can reach the spot easily by foot!
