Description

Acherbiela is a small nature reserve. The harjalintu is being reintroduced in the area. Spring migration often offers surprises ( nummikirvinen, punajalkahaukka, kiuru and kangaskiuru). In winter sometimes alppivaris and sepelrastas. maakotka and partakorppikotka are also possible when the weather is bad. Beautiful circular route over dry steppe with nature-friendly agriculture. Among the birds you can see in the area are harjalintu, leppälintu, kyläpöllönen, alppinaakka, alppivaris, maakotka, vihertikka, vuoriuunilintu, kulorastas and pyrstötiainen.

Access

Public transport: Bus from Brig train station to Brig Biela. Then walk about 30 minutes in the direction of Termen. Circular walking route from the bus between 1.5 and 2.5 hours, depending on the route.
