Description
In Svartsjö agricultural landscapes meet the shores of Lake Mälaren. The area with its fields, meadows, pastures, forest as well as the shallow and overgrown bay of Svartsjöviken with its reed beds offers good environments for many bird species. Great chance to see merikotka and kanahaukka all year round. Between April and September ruskosuohaukka, sääksi (kalasääski) and nuolihaukka are often seen. Among the other interesting birds you can encounter are isokoskelo, laulujoutsen, niittykirvinen, kiuru, korppi and kaulushaikara.
