Nature reserve with many migratory birds, especially during the spring, but also in summer there are good chances for seabirds, raptors and other birds.
At Grundskatan - Bjuröklubb you have the opportunity to drive up almost all the way to the cape. The terrain can be a bit difficult to walk with large and small rocks over most of the area. There is also a beach nearby where waders are often seen, but for the most part seagulls and ducks are seen. Among the birds you can encounter are riskilä, meriharakka, pilkkasiipi, merikihu, tylli, pikkutylli, kuikka, haahka, kaakkuri, ruokki, pikkukäpylintu, valkoviklo, kivitasku, merikotka, kalatiira, selkälokki, harmaalokki, telkkä, tukkasotka, tukkakoskelo, isokoskelo, alli, mustalintu, vesipääsky, suosirri, härkälintu, lapasotka, hernekerttu, tuulihaukka, suopöllö, nuolihaukka and tundrakurmitsa.
Parking is available at the cottage which is located at the end of the road. Cycling is possible if you are in the area and there are summer cottages nearby. However, the road from the last curve is not maintained during winter or early spring, and should not be driven by car before it has dried up. Please note that it is a nature reserve and therefore it is not allowed to enter with a quad bike or scooter in the area! With large amounts of snow in the spring, it is possible to either ski, or walk with snowshoes, on the forest road, the approximately 1.2 km long last stretch to the cape.
The exit is signposted from Bjuröklubbsvägen and you can also park on the opposite side of the exit road and follow that path through the forest out to a small bay, which is also a good viewing spot.
