Laguna del Toro is a quiet and secluded place. If you travel on the highway you can take a break here and do some nice birding. Another way to access the lagoon is through the small town of Nueva Jarilla, along a dirt road. Among the birds you can see here are nokikana, Liejukana, pääskykahlaaja, hietatiira, punasotka, Töyhtökiuru, etelänharmaalokki, pikku-uikku, turkinkyyhky, turturikyyhky, harmaahaikara, pronssi-iibis, pikkutylli.
