Reservoir surrounded by Mediterranean forest. Well preserved and little known. In Winter Kurki gather here. Also a rest area for munkkikorppikotka.
Embalse de Navalcán is a place with great views and that maintains a concentration of interesting birds. In particular munkkikorppikotka and Kurki. In spring it is common to see iberiankeisarikotka, particularly young birds. Raptors are frequent. On the other hand, there is little diversity of aquatic birds, although the type of birds advised makes up for the visit.

Es un lugar con grandes vistas y que mantiene concentración de aves especialmente vistosas. En particular el munkkikorppikotka y la Kurki. En primavera es frecuente ver iberiankeisarikotka, particularmente aves jóvenes. Las rapaces son frecuentes. Por contra, hay poca diversidad de aves acuáticas, aunque el tipo de aves avisadas compensa la visita.
From the A5, near Talavera de la Reina, turn off to the N 502, direction Ávila. You will find the Navalcán indication at 25 km. Once in the city, follow the main road, which crosses the reservoir. There is an access, very poorly indicated, which can be accessed by car.
