Beautiful salt marsh area with many birds. The walk takes you along the channel that once formed an open connection with the North Sea coast.
Many birds can be seen in the beautiful Noordpolderzijl salt marsh area directly against the Wadden Sea. Due to the tides, the birds find enough food. Many birds find their food in the salt marshes and tidal flats. Species often seen here are kapustahaikara, kuovi, sinisuohaukka and various gulls.

Nederlands: Het prachtige kweldergebied Noordpolderzijl ligt direct tegen de Waddenzee en is rijk aan vogels. Veel vogels vinden hun voedsel in de kwelders en op de wadplaten. Soorten die in het gebied vaak worden gezien zijn kapustahaikara, kuovi, sinisuohaukka en diverse soorten meeuwen.
You can park at the harbor of Noordpolderzijl, crossing Zijlweg and Noorderdijk, Usquert. Click on the P in the map for directions. From the parking lot you can take a circular walk of about 1 km through the area.
