The Buytenpark Zoetermeer is beautiful area that you can easily combine with the adjacent Nieuwe Driemanspolder (also described on Birdingplaces). In the spring it is nice to watch birds here with plenty of birdsong of species such as ruokokerttunen, sinirinta, silkkikerttunen, mustapäätasku, pensassirkkalintu and pajulintu. In addition, various species of waders breed in the area, such as pikkutylli, mustapyrstökuiri, avosetti and punajalkaviklo and a breeding wall has been made where törmäpääsky can be seen nicely. pitkäjalka can also be seen here sometimes. During the migratory season, migrating birds also regularly appear here. For example, it is a good place to see the sepelrastas. Nederlands: Het Buytenpark Zoetermeer is een natuurgebied van ruim 100 hectare groot aan de noordwestelijke kant van Zoetermeer. Je vindt er een duidelijk verschil tussen het woeste westelijke deel en het parkachtige oostelijke deel. Een mooi gebied dat je gemakkelijk kunt combineren met de Nieuwe Driemanspolder (ook beschreven op Birdingplaces). In het voorjaar is het hier leuk vogels kijken met volop vogelzang van soorten als ruokokerttunen, sinirinta, silkkikerttunen, mustapäätasku, pensassirkkalintu en pajulintu. Daarnaast broeden er verschillende soorten steltlopers in het gebied zoals pikkutylli, mustapyrstökuiri, avosetti en punajalkaviklo en is er een wand gemaakt waar de törmäpääsky mooi te zien is. Ook de pitkäjalka is hier soms te zien. In de trektijd duiken hier ook regelmatig vogels op doortrek op. Zo is het een goede plek om de sepelrastas te zien, foerageert er wel eens een kapustahaikara in het gebied en maak je ook kans op één van de mooiste eendensoorten van Nederland: de punapäänarsku. Meer op de hogere gedeeltes zie je niittykirvinen, mustapäätasku, hemppo, rautiainen en mustapääkerttu.
