The Valle Vecchia is a large wetland area located close to Brussa. A great place for birdwatching with a large range of habitats and many birds.

Description

The Valle Vecchia is a great place for both breeding and migratory birds, as it has such a large range of habitats within the area. In the reedbeds there is a large range of species such as pikkuhaikara, ruskohaikara and Luhtakana. The lake also has a large variety of rare birds like pitkäjalka, rääkkähaikara and pronssi-iibis. The road towards the Valle Vecchia is a great place for turturikyyhky, mehiläissyöjä and käki.

Access

To get to Valle Vecchia you have to go through Brussa and continue towards the canal Cavanella in a straight line. You will then cross the canal and continue straight ahead, until you reach two lakes ( these two lakes can also be good for birdlife ) where you will then turn right. After turning right keep on going straight until the car park.
