Description

The Stagni di Marceddì and Corru S'Ittiri form part of a Natura 2000 protected area. These lagoons are a mosaic of brackish and freshwater habitats, shaped by natural inlets, sandbars, and artificial dikes. The shallow lagoons attract waders, gulls, and ducks. Birds you can observe include pitkäjalka, tavi, ristisorsa, tundrakurmitsa, tylli, kuovi, rantasipi, punajalkaviklo, liro, valkoviklo, karikukko, suokukko, pikkusirri, nummikirvinen, mustapäätasku, silkkihaikara, and kaitanokkalokki.

The Stagni di Marceddì and Corru S'Ittiri wetlands are located on the central-western coast of Sardinia, just north of the village of Marceddi. Press P on the map for directions.
