Description

The town of Massarella is situated on the south west edges of a lake and marshland area called Padule of Fucecchio which is the largest internal marshland in Italy and is a protected nature preserve. From Massarella it is easy to explore the southern part of the marsh area and see birds like merimetso, kattohaikara,harmaahaikara, jalohaikara, kapustahaikara, silkkihaikara, lehmähaikara, sinisorsa and ruskosuohaukka.
