Description

Lessinia Regional Nature Park is very rich in birds and many special birds can be seen here. palokärki, helmipöllö, huuhkaja, maakotka, käärmekotka, punajalkahaukka, teeri, metso, pyy, sininärhi, kanahaukka, kivikkopyy, lumivarpunen, alppirautiainen, Pähkinähakki, ruisrääkkä, kivikkorastas, koskikara, vuoriuunilintu, keräkurmitsa, rusotasku, pikkulepinkäinen, isolepinkäinen, kalliokiipijä . . . all these and more, depending on the season. Plus marmot, deer, chamois, red squirrel, wild boar and wolves, and an astonishing array of butterflies, orchids and other wildlife.

Access

There are many designated footpaths throughout the park, but a car is pretty essential to get there from Verona. For walking trails in the area see the link of Alte Alessinia below.
