Description

Green circular field during peak migration season in the middle of an extreme desert. Other agricultural fields are nearby for growing onions, pumpkins, potatoes. A good site to witness raptor migration in the spring. Almost all year round there are interesting birds, both migrants and resident: aavikkokehrääjä, Pharaoh Eagle-Owl, kaspiantylli, aasiankiuru, Desert Lark, aavikkotasku, ruskosuohaukka, Töyhtökiuru, naamiokyyhky, sinisuohaukka, kynsihyyppä, Desert Finch, kirjosiipikiuru, kiuru, Blackstart, isolepinkäinen, surutasku, kalottitasku, Mehiläishaukka, pikkukotka, haarahaukka, keltavästäräkki, västäräkki and lapinkirvinen.

Access

Access is by car. Public transportation is possible, but there is more than two kilometers walk to the field itself. Beare not to get stuck in the sandy parts of the site. Sand dunes are right nearby. Walking from the car is possible. The farmers are used to seeing birders around and will not be fussy. Stick to the gravel roads are you are fine.
