Description
Designed to replicate various ecosystems, the National Botanical Garden of Iran features forests, wetlands, and meadows that attract a wide range of bird species. One of the ponds is a good place to see yöhaikara, rääkkähaikara, kuningaskalastaja and naurulokki. During the spring you can find arovarpushaukka, Kuhankeittäjä and different migrating warblers such as mustapääkerttu and vaaleakultarinta. In the winter, thrushes come to the garden, including laulurastas, mustakaularastas and punakylkirastas.

Access
The National Botanical Garden of Iran is situated just a few kilometers west of Tehran, making it easily accessible by metro. To get there, take the Tehran-Karaj Metro and exit at Iran-Khodro Station. From the station, you can either walk for about 35 minutes or take a taxi for a quicker trip. Exploring the entire garden on foot takes approximately 2 to 3 hours, allowing you to fully enjoy its diverse landscapes and rich biodiversity.
