Description

The Campuhan Ridge Walk is a nice trail on a paved path along Campuhan Hill. The trail runs through hillsides with rice fields and tropical vegetation. It can be busy on the trail, but if you go early the birding is nice. Birds you can observe include Green Junglefowl, Greater Coucal, Chestnut-breasted Malkoha, Black-naped Fruit-Dove, Grey-cheeked Green-Pigeon, Square-tailed Drongo-Cuckoo, White-breasted Waterhen, Javan Pond-Heron, Collared Kingfisher, Zitting Cisticola, Golden-headed Cisticola, Brown-throated Sunbird, and Javan Munia, Scaly-breasted Munia and White-headed Munia.

Access

The Campuhan Ridge Walk is located in Ubud. The walk starts near the Campuhan Bridge. Press P on the map for directions to the starting point. The trail is 2 km one way. Follow the signs, the trail is well-marked and easy to navigate. At the highest point there are some restaurants where you can have a drink.
