Description
Örfirisey is a reliable spot to observe the birdlife of the Reykjavík bay. Especially in the colder times of the year. Bringing your telescope, a scan of the bay and horizon might produce birds like alli, karimetso, suula, pikkuruokki, virta-alli and tukkakoskelo. You might also see kaakkuri and amerikanjääkuikka. Örfirsey has also hosted a male Kyhmypilkkasiipi every winter since 2014, proving it as a reliable spot for this vagrant. Overhead, pulmunen might pass, and along the rocks there might be riskilä.
