Description

The Gardur Lighthouse is located on the northern point of the Reykjanes peninsula. It was one of the first lighthouses built in Iceland, dating back to 1897. The lighthouse and its surroundings are a good pleace for seabird watching. Looking at the sea from spring to autumn can produce flocks of pikkuliitäjä. Also suula, myrskylintu, occasional merikeiju, skuas and other seabirds.
