Description
The Windberg is a forest area that is under nature protection. Depending on the location, shady beech forest alternates in the north and west with oaks and pines in the south. From the flat plateau, the flanks partly drop steeply to the south, west and north. The forest is not cultivated and it is possible to observe mainly forest birds. Especially in spring during the mating season a visit is worthwhile. There are 6 species of woodpeckers you can observe: pikkutikka, tammitikka, käpytikka, vihertikka, harmaapäätikka and palokärki.
