Description
In Schellbruch reserve close to the city of Lübeck you find different types of habitats with a great variety of birds in a rather small area (although the complete reserve is not small at all. The reserve is managed by the NABU (German organisation for protecting nature) and a local organic farmer.
Good all year through but best in late spring. Fantastic place for sinirinta, ruokosirkkalintu, viiksitimali, merikotka and Woodpeckers. In autumn also great flocks of geese in some years. pikkutylli and töyhtöhyyppä occur as well as kuningaskalastaja. Winter is good for isolepinkäinen, uivelo, isokoskelo and sometimes kaulushaikara.
