Description
Moorstation Nicklheimer Filze is part of a network of raised bogs with a total area of around 600 hectares that has been renaturalized. There is a 4 km circular trail and a lookout tower for observation. The moor serves as a habitat for many bird species, including pensastasku, sinirinta, mustapäätasku, sinisuohaukka, Kurki and taivaanvuohi. Other birds you can see in the area are tulipäähippiäinen, jouhisorsa, kuusitiainen, käpytikka, korppi, ruostesorsa, tavi, nokkavarpunen, töyhtötiainen, harmaapäätikka, ruskosuohaukka, punasotka, valkoviklo, punatulkku and pikku-uikku.
