Description
The Favoritepark is a protected nature reserve in Ludwigsburg. The park mainly consists of open grass fields and forest and surrounds Schloss Favorite, a small palace once used by the former dukes and kings of Württemberg as a ‘pleasure palace’ and hunting lodge.
Favoritepark is home to many common and uncommon forest birds, like närhi, peukaloinen, pähkinänakkeli, käpytikka, tammitikka, vihertikka and more rarely; palokärki.
Around May, there is a chance to see sepelsieppo. In summer, you can observe leppälintu, Kuhankeittäjä, and haarahaukka. With some luck, you might even hear or spot a lehtopöllö or a harmaapäätikka.
