Description
The typical species of a city can be seen at the Decksteiner Weiher in summer. On the lake kanadanhanhi, afrikanhanhi, silkkiuikku and sinisorsa can be seen. Around the lake you can observe vihertikka, tikli, tammitikka and much more. In winter, however, more rare duck species such as tukkasotka, punasotka, harmaasorsa and with a bit of luck also ruskosotka can be found.

Decksteiner Weiher is easy to reach by bike from Cologne (Köln). You can also get there easily by car. Click on a P in the map for directions to a parking. A circular walk around the lake is about 5 km.
