Description

The environment and nature around Pas de la Griotte are wonderfully diverse, with a mix of shrubs, rocks, deciduous trees and seasonal flowers. This varied landscape attracts a wide range of songbirds and other species.

Notable birds that can be observed here include mehiläissyöjä, ruskokerttu, etelänpuukiipijä and etelänsatakieli. You may also encounter käki, various gull species and birds of prey.

Bird activity is strongly seasonal. The area is at its best from mid-April to early June, when migratory species have arrived and song activity is high. Earlier in spring, birdlife can be much quieter and some species may still be absent.

The peace and quiet of the area are striking. The route is rarely visited and lies outside inhabited areas, making it a great place to enjoy nature in tranquility.
