Description
The area of Les Barthes de L'Adour attracts swans, geese and dabbling ducks when flooded. When the floods retreat you can see waders, such as suosirri, rantasipi, egrets and etelänharmaalokki. Many birds breed in the area including kattohaikara and heinäkerttu. ruisrääkkä visit on passage and merikotka is a winter visitor.

Difficult to access by car when flooded, and telescope essential. Parking places as shown on the map. Nearest train stations is at Saubusse. The walking/cycling routes suggested are between 3 km and 6 km.
