Le Champ Virlois is interesting for several reedbed species, including sinirinta, rastaskerttunen, ruokokerttunen, pikkuhaikara, Luhtakana and ruskosuohaukka. pussitiainen has been spotted in stopover and crakes are possible.
In the surrounding forests punatulkku, nuolihaukka, pajulintu and haarahaukka are quite easy to see. Paksujalka and telkkä can be found at the surrounding gravel pits.
