This pretty lake is artificial but its banks have abundant vegetation which is home to some remarkable species.
Lac de Pelleautier is a nice lake with reed beds that harbour many birds. The rastaskerttunen and the pikkuhaikara breed around the lake. Many other species are passing through during migration or stay at the lake for overwintering. Other birds you can see here are Lapasorsa, punapäänarsku, ruskohaikara, pikku-uikku, silkkiuikku, mustapääkerttu, etelänsatakieli and Luhtakana.

Français: Ce joli lac est artificiel mais ses berges présentent une végétation abondante qui héberge certaines espèces remarquables. La rousserole turdoïde et le blongios nain sont nicheurs. Beaucoup d'autres espèces au passage ou à l'hivernage.
Lac de Pelleautier is well signposted and parking is easy. Click on a P in the map to get directions. A walk around the lake is about 2 km.

Note: the lake is around 1000 meters above sea level and freezes frequently in winter. Aquatic birds are then absent.
