Description
La Butte de Frochet contains heather-covered moor environments which are protected, but also remarkable rock formations that are remnants from volcanic activity in the distant past. It is a kind of ridge with rocky points that protrude above the landscape, lying in an area of about 30 hectares. There is a walking route that shows you the highlights of the nature reserve. There is a nice point of view on the North (you can see the Civray power station) and on the south, the department of Charente.
