Description

Etangs de Belval-en-Argonne is a nature reserve with several ponds and covers 203 hectares. The biggest pond is surrounded by a trail and has 3 bird hides. Great place for birdwatching as some less common species can often be seen here. Among the birds you can encounter are sinirinta, kalatiira, telkkä, silkkiuikku, ruskosuohaukka, pajusirkku, ruokokerttunen, rastaskerttunen, ruokosirkkalintu, mustahaikara, Kurki, töyhtöhyyppä, kuningaskalastaja, merihanhi, Lapasorsa, tavi, jalohaikara and heinätavi.
