Located in a Natura 2000 zone, this lake is one of the rare bodies of water in the center of Saône-et-Loire.
Étang du Grand Baronnet is located in the heart of the Charolais bocage landscape. The large lake is surrounded by meadows. It has a beautiful reed bed which allows you to observe ruskohaikara and pikkuhaikara in spring. In winter it is possible to observe several species of ducks such as Lapasorsa, and tukkasotka. The site is also known to shelter a population of European pond turtle.

Français: Situé en zone Natura 2000 il s'agit d'un des rares plan d'eau du centre de la Saône-et-Loire. Situé en plein bocage du Charolais ce grand étang est entouré de prairies. Il possède une belle roselière qui permet d'observer au printemps le ruskohaikara ou le pikkuhaikara en hiver il est possible d'y observer plusieurs espèces d'anatidés comme le Lapasorsa, le punasotka ou le tukkasotka. C'est un site connu pour abriter une population de cistude d'Europe.
