Description
Vuosaaren Kartano and Nordsjö Manor attract a variety of birds throughout the year. There's a small forest like area right next to the park that provides shelter for wildlife and the Uutela forest is on the other side of the road, so you never know what birds can visit the park. During the hot summer months, local bird enthusiasts bring water to a dent on a big rock that has proven to be a popular pool for birds like harmaasieppo, sinitiainen, kirjosieppo, hemppo, käpytikka, talitiainen, varpunen, pikkuvarpunen, peippo and viherpeippo.
The trees and bushes in the area provide food and shelter for birds like mustapääkerttu, pajulintu, tiltaltti, puukiipijä and punarinta. In autumn the parks multiple oak trees attract närhi and birders have spotted valkoselkätikka in the area during autumn as well. Some of the rarer bird sightings have been mustaleppälintu and kehrääjä.

There's a parking place in the area and the manor is at walking distance from Vuosaari metro station. It's also possible to cycle there.
