The bird tower is easily accessable. In autumn, there is a good chance to find a heinäkurppa among other great species of wader and waterfowl. Some recent rarities (in Finnish context) include lyhytvarvaskiuru, lampiviklo and isohaarahaukka.
You can make a circular walk through reedbeds. The route is marked and is called "Uikkupolku (Grebe path)". In the reeded area, you can find viiksitimali among other typical reed species.
