Description

Mjels Lake has been both drained and cultivated since the 1800s, but in 2006 it was restored as a lake. Birds quickly returned to the lake. There is a good path along the lake and and a couple of small platforms where you can get to the other side of the reeds. Among the birds you can encounter are kuningaskalastaja, telkkä, viiksitimali, rytikerttunen, pikku-uikku, jalohaikara and merikotka.
