Description
Hvide Sande is a fishing town in Jutland with a large fishing port. The name literally means white sand and it is therefore also possible to take a beach walk from here. For bird watching, however, it is especially interesting to watch from the piers out to the sea or on the side of the Ringkøbing Fjord. In this largest lake in western Denmark and between the dams there is a chance to see species that come to shelter in calm waters, such as ruokki and etelänkiisla. Species such as suula, pikkukajava, mustalintu, kaakkuri and riuttatiira can be seen from the piers.
