Description
There have been recorded more than 250 birds species. It is a nesting site of the in Silesia rare viiksitimali and there are nesting some other rare birds like pikkuhaikara , sinirinta and punavarpunen. It is also a popular bird stop during migration time. In Spring you can see there for example kivitasku , ruokosirkkalintu , mustanmerenlokki , sääksi (kalasääski) and sometimes even sarakerttunen and osmankäämikerttunen.
During the Autumn migration you can see many species of waders like suosirri , suokukko , pikkusirri , kuovisirri , mustaviklo , liro and some other. Also you can observe luhtahuitti or Luhtakana.
In Winter it is an ideal place for watching viiksitimali and if you are lucky you can see wintering kaulushaikara or vuorihemppo .
Various bird rarities were also recorded here: vesipääsky , karikukko , rantakurvi , mustapyrstökuiri , isosirri , mustapäälokki , riuttatiira , lapintiira , ruostepääsky , arosuohaukka , tiiralokki , sarakerttunen , osmankäämikerttunen and many others.

Access
The location is inaccessible by car, so it is best to park somewhere in Ostrava and walk to the location or go by bus. I recommend a walk along the western side of the pond. You can make a circle around, but if you want to see some reed birds, it is best to wait near the reeds or go on one of the fishing bridges (but be careful, it can be dangerous).
