Private reserve that preserves a small fragment of riparian forest with a lek where you can observe Andean Cock-of-the-rock in its natural habitat.
The only reason to visit Reserva Natural Jardín de Rocas is the Andean Cock-of-the-rock. If you were not able to see it, this is the place to be. The rest of the garden is nice and you can also see plenty of other birds.
Jardín de Rocas Nature Reserve is located in the canyon of the Volcanoes River, in the urban area of the town of Jardín. Press P in the map for directions. When staying in the Jardin area it's just at the outskirts of town (walking distance). Be aware that the opening times are limited (see the link to the website below), due to the fact that this is the lek of the Andean Cock-of-the-rock.
