A 300 hectare big wetland with many birds, but limited access. 160 bird species have been identified here.
The Dragoman Marsh is unique in Bulgaria. The complex consists of limestone hills, with the depressions between them boasting biodiverse wetlands. It was declared a Ramsar site in 2011. The surrounding grasslands also contain many endemic and rare species. Among the birds you can see here are kaulushaikara , sääksi (kalasääski) , ruskohaikara , käärmekotka , arohiirihaukka , korppi , rastaskerttunen , kattohaikara.
Parking is possible on the 8103. See the P on the map. The most easily accessible to the general public area is relatively small: only several hundred meters of wooden bridges serpent their way through the marsh. There is a small wooden watchtower.
